Nutribody Analysis

The ADVANCED NUTRIBODY ANALYSIS questionnaire - a method of nutritional appraisal designed especially for professional nutrition practitioners - enables the orthomolecular nutritionist to pin-point each person's unique biochemical weaknesses.

Each of us is biochemically unique. Fingerprints, voices, outward appearances — all differ from person to person. Our nutritional needs differ also. No two bodies react to the same nutritional intake in exactly the same way. We all have different metabolism and so have different nutrient requirements.

The term biochemical individuality denotes how we all differ nutritionally. We do need the same food factors such as protein, fats, vitamin, minerals etc., but we do not all need them in the same proportions or from the same sources. Our body's own ability to digest, absorb and assimilate nutrients varies widely from person to person. We have internal organs that differ in efficiency and in their needs for specific nutritional support. For example, because of allergies or intolerances, many of us react adversely to foods which others thrive on. Some of us have stressful lifestyles that place high nutritional demands on our bodies. Biochemical individuality refers to the unique nutritional needs each person has, based on their genetics, lifestyle, and environmental exposure to various stressors. Biochemical individuality is a complex web of interactions that controls the way your body uses amino acids, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and fats for all your body functions. Amino acids, for example, are used to produce hormones, skin, and bone.

For your biochemistry to function properly, your body requires the right amounts and proportions of nutrients. The amount of a certain nutrient an average person requires may not be the optimal amount you need for good health.

I have been able to interpret and make sound recommendations based on each client's unique responses to the Advanced Nutri-Body Analysis with Symptomatology.

Hair Mineral Analysis

Minerals in the body are involved in almost all enzyme reactions, metabolic activity, and detoxification cycles. They are vital for the effective absorption and proper function of nutrients and vitamins. Our bodies cannot utilize vitamins and other nutrients without a correct balance of minerals: even in trace amounts. Improper mineral balance has been linked to chronic fatigue, weight gain/loss, headaches, depression, osteoporosis, and malabsorption. Various mineral imbalances as revealed in the hair analysis indicate metabolic dysfunctions before any physical symptoms manifest. An affordable, non-invasive Hair Mineral Analysis (HMA) can help establish a nutritional profile to be used to guide the development of effective wellness and nutritional balancing protocols. HMA is a screening test that measures the levels of up to 60 essential minerals and toxic metals. With correct testing and interpretation, one can construct a complete metabolic profile of the human body. Hair is an excellent biopsy material. It is easy to sample, easily preserved, and transported, represents a soft tissue of the body, and is a storage and eliminative tissue. As hair grows it forms a permanent record of the body’s nutritional deficiencies or excesses.

Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis can reveal mineral deficiencies and excesses

  • Heavy metal toxicity

  • Metabolic rate (fast or slow)

  • Immune

  • Mental health

  • Nervous system imbalance

  • Liver & kidney stress

  • Diabetes and insulin resistance

  • Energy levels & fatigue

  • Cardiovascular health

  • Adrenal & thyroid function

  • Sports endurance & recovery

Symptomatology

Nutritional symptomatology is the process of interpreting bodily symptoms to find underlying causes and nutritional imbalances to help address health concerns , digestive problems and improve overall health. It is specially helpful at detecting sub clinical conditions which do not show up on conventional laboratory tests. It is a remarkable assessment tool that guides a nutritionist practitioner in working with clients by gathering information about the their symptoms, and connecting their symptoms to their body's biochemical functions, enabling practitioners to come up with very effective recommendations that will make true difference in people’s health.

Our Symptoms give us clues as to underlying health problems. Instead of listening to our symptoms, most of us quiet them with medication. Our body uses these symptoms as a guide that gives us direction, long before a disease manifests.

Advantages of Symptomatology:

  • Interprets bodily signs to find underlying contributing factors.
  • Symptoms can reveal subclinical deficiencies or insufficiencies that do not show up on conventional lab tests.
  • Approaches each person as an individual with unique nutrient requirements (based on lifestyle and genetics).
  • Helps determine if nutrient intake is being assimilated via good digestion and absorption.
